JESTERS

JESTERS a division of Sumter Players, Inc.

The JESTERS program was designed in 1997 by Sumter Players, Inc. in Americus, Georgia. It is a theatre ensemble which focuses on the works of Shakespeare. It is open to any 8th to 12th grade student in Sumter County and the surrounding area.

Its goals are:
To serve area youth and offer educational opportunities in theatre.

To tap into the talent resources of the young community to ensure the future of the community theatre now in its 39th Season.

A "faithful" rendition of Shakespeare's original play, written and staged entirely by the Jesters!
